My name is Emily and I am a mom to two. I have daughter and a son. My son is the younger of the two and has Cystic Fibrosis. I worked 14 years with specials needs children but left my job a few years ago due to my son's declining health. The germs at daycare were just too much for his little body. I now work part time from home for my local health system in Health Information Management. If my son's illness has taught me anything, it is that life is short and you need to enjoy ever moment of it. My family loves to travel and I strive to give my kids the very best childhood with wonderful experiences. Since I was lucky enough to find a part time job where I could work from home that leaves me with extra time to fill. I rediscovered my love for Disney and Universal when we went on my son's Make-A-Wish trip in January 2024. I decided to become a travel agent because I LOVE planning, and what better way to do that than helping other families experience what the world has to offer without all of the stress?
Some other facts about me:
- I am a HUGE animal lover (All 5 of my pets are rescues!)
- I am an avid reader and find time to read every day
- I would rather drive than fly if I can (It's tricky flying with all of my son's medical equipment)
- I became a volunteer for Make-A-Wish after my son's trip. I create celebration boxes for wish kids that are about to go on their trip!
